STEP 1: SCHEDULING YOUR SESSION:

In order to reserve a date, you will sign some paperwork (online) and pay a session fee of £150. If you haven't already, the easiest way is to give me an ideal date that works for your family, and I will let you know my availability around then - and once we find a date, booking is 100% online and takes just a few minutes.

STEP 2: THE SESSION ITSELF:

Once you've decided on a time and date and officially put your session on the books, I'll send you a getting ready guide that will walk you through everything from choosing outfits to strategies for getting kids to cooperate. That guide has been created and refined over years of experience, so it typically answers 90% of the questions that come up, but I'm always happy to set up a time to chat if you want additional help. A few days before our session is scheduled, I'll reach out to confirm our time and location... at that point, if someone seems to be coming down with the flu or baby hasn't arrived yet, we can talk about our rescheduling options. Otherwise, that's the perfect time to ask any last-minute questions or let me know if you've come up with a fun idea we haven't discussed.

The day of the session, please block off 1-1.5 hours for maternity or sitters, 2-3 hours for a newborn. Typically we're done well within that time, and I don't charge by the hour so if there's some kind of wardrobe malfunction or child meltdown, I like to stay flexible. If a parent has to leave for an important business meeting but the rest of the family is still available, that's fine... just let me know ahead of time so I can focus on getting that parent in the frame more while they're still available. Finally, take a breath and relax... I promise to give the grown-ups (and kids) breaks throughout the session as needed, and to make it as enjoyable as possible for everyone involved.

STEP 3: THE FUN PART!

Within just a couple of weeks of your session, you'll receive an email from me letting you know that your photos are ready. (Yay!) Once you've had a chance to see them and marvel for a bit, you will choose which collection you want to purchase. After that, you will have a full month to select the specific digital files you want to use to fill that collection, and what you would like to spend your print credit on... zero pressure!

COLLECTION C: £450

  • All of your final photos as high resolution digital images
  • £100 of gift credit good towards anything in the gallery store: prints, frames, albums, etc.

What you're going to do with your images is perhaps the most important aspect to consider when you're planning for a photo session, but it's all too often the aspect that's overlooked... all that time and money invested deserve a better return than photos gathering cyber dust on a hard drive somewhere. You'll never get the same feeling looking at your photos on a screen as you will seeing them on your wall or flipping through the pages of an album, so I include a print credit with collections B and C. Below is a sample of some of the items you can choose among:

FAQ

Where are you based and do you travel?

I'm based on Wessex Road in Didcot, Oxfordshire and I have a lovely little studio with everything we need to get beautiful images of you and your family.

When will we get our photos?

Once your photoshoot is over I set straight to work on editing your images for you. This can take up to 2 weeks. After this you will receive a link to a slideshow via email. The slideshow only remains open for 24 hours, the countdown starts from when you first view it, so make sure you are all gathered together. Once a package is paid for, your gallery will open for 30 days, for you to choose your included digital images and to spend your gift credit in the print store.

How many pictures will we receive?

This does depend on the session type, but I always aim to get about 20-25 images for you to choose from. Then it is up to you how many you buy and which products you get to display them around your home.

When do we pay for the session and photos?

You pay a £150 session fee when you book, this reserves your date and is not refundable should you cancel within 7 days of your session. Then when you receive your proofing slideshow you can choose which of your images you would like to purchase within your package.
